Volunteer Testimonials

Born in Grootfontein, a town North Central of Namibia, I grew up with the Mentality of a patriot to this Nation and with that Mentality I went through many journeys in this country and found myself as a member of this Civic organization where I can a valuable asset to my Country.

Leonard Hijarunguru

Position: Chief Observer and part of the Khomas Regional Committee

I am an Industrial Psychology single major graduate. I am one of the volunteer alumni for the presidential election I’m a part time fashion and photography model as well as an advocate for the mental health and well-being with primary focus on men, and a firm believer in creating a sustainable society.

When youth are empowered, they feel confident and capable. They become active contributors and collaborators, excited to explore their impact on the world around them. See Namibia helps to empower the youth by letting them be involved and take interest in one of the largest events in the country such as the presidential election thus making them knowledgeable and ensuring that we are the future leaders of tomorrow.

In the last national presidential I helped managed everything that had to do with the campaign, that means being involved in spreading the news about the campaign through social media and word of mouth. I also did this through the multiple photoshoots to advocate for the campaign..

SEE Namibia is this country’s best chance at not only bringing its democracy to an advanced level but also empowering as many young people as possible to play vital roles in their own development as well as that of the communities they live in. SEE Namibia gives me so much hope for this country and Africa at large.

Karen Lelly Amunyela

I am a community and youth development enthusiast who currently serves as the Director for Talent and Development at the African Pathfinder Leasders Initative (APLI). Additionally, I am the co-founder of the Namibia Allied Youth Organization (NAYO). I hold a degree in Education and I am an advocate for all matters pertaining to the overall development of Education in Namibia.

I believe that young people have the power to transform the world through civic participation, and SEE Namibia is at the forefront of this very crucial agenda. It is so astounding that we have young people leading conversations about democratic processes and engaging on the importance of national politics. SEE Namibia gives me hope for a better Namibia, with young people actively participating in matters that directly impact their lives.
